Abstract: Taking computer labs in Southwest Petroleum University as an example，the authors of the present paper explores the innovative reform in lab management，resources distribution，and experimental methods.Open lab operation involves opening time management，establishment of experiment group of computer programs，teachers′ instruction and participation in experiments，equipment management and computer operating environment management.Innovation in lab management involves computer security，computer automation and website management.The exploration is hoped to provide some reference for further researches on open lab operation.
