摘要: 图形—背景理论是认知心理学的一个重要理论,认知诗学的研究者将其应用到文学作品的分析中。基于此理论的相关思想,分析休斯的早期作品诗歌《黑人谈河》,试图从意向凸显和主旨信息凸显两方面找出该诗歌中所体现的图形—背景关系,探讨诗中所体现的意境和内涵,挖掘其内在的认知理据,从而更深刻地解读诗人的创作视域,继而感受诗歌的艺术效果,更好地体会黑人作家创作出的独特美。

Abstract: The theory of figure and ground has been viewed as an important theory in cognitive psychology and can be applied to the analysis of literary works. Based on the framework of figure and ground,the figureground phenomenon shown in The Negro Speaks of Rivers is illustrated from the perspective of prominence,focusing on the imagery and meaning the poem presents. making it easier for the readers to better understand the deep meaning of the poem so as to appreciate the artistic effect it has created.
