摘要： 冷战结束之后，印度和美国在彼此战略中的地位不断提升，尤其进入21世纪以来随着双方高层互访的增加，两国间的关系不断密切，双方在打击恐怖主义、民用核技术合作以及经贸往来等领域开展了许多合作。2009年奥巴马政府上台执政，相比于小布什时期，美国在全球金融危机以及反恐战争局势尚不明朗的大背景之下对印度外交政策的走向引起了相关各方的广泛关注。而印度总理辛格近期对美国的访问也是旨在加强两国之间的关系，防止印度在美国的战略棋盘中被边缘化。

Abstract: India and the United States have been becoming increasingly important strategically after the Cold War.In the 21th century，both countries cooperate in a wide range of areas from counterterrorism to civil application of nuclear technology to business and trade.After Obama took office，American India policy drew worldwide concerns.Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh′s recent Visit to the U.S.aims to reinforce bilateral relationship and to avoid being marginalized in the U.S.global strategies.
