Abstract: It was a unique phenomenon in Song Cia kind of poetry in Song Dynasty of China, that male poets expressed their lovesick feelings by imitating maiden′s tone.Among all the poets in Song Dynasty,Cheng Gai is the representative male poets who wrote lovesick Ci poems. His work collection was called Shu Zhou Ci which collected more than twenty lovesick Ci poems. There is a perfect combination of feelings and words in his works.Using maiden′s tone as firstperson narrators,he expressed his severe sentiments of being parted from his hometown and his dreamgirl in his works by euphemistic means. However, his imagination of the beauty from male perspective in his works shows that male dominance still existes in his lovesick Ci poems, which takes away some of the vividness of the heroines.
