Abstract: Objectivity is the most important characteristic of critical thinking. In Deng Xiaoping’s thought of “seek truth from facts”， there exists abundant sparks of objectivity. Deng Xiaoping’s emphasis on objectivity is embodied in his objective evaluation of Mao Zedong, and his proposition of “one country，two systems”， and so on. In his exercise of objectivity in critical thinking，Deng Xiaoping strikes a balance between emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts，between objectivity and practice viewpoint，and between pragmatism and innovation.
