Abstract: The system of reward and remuneration for service invention，in Article 7 of Patent Protection Regulations of Sichuan Province (Amendment) is based on Article 6 and 16 of the Patent Law. The purpose of this amendment is to strike a balance between public benefit and private benefit. Compared to the Patent Law，Article 7 of the Sichuan amendment pays more attention to protecting the rights and interests of inventors. However，such regulations are not stated explicitly or in detail in the amendment. Therefore，measures should be formulated and specified so that the regulations can be implemented in practice.
