Abstract: The Sixth Plenary Session of the Seventeenth Central Committee advocates promoting development and prosperity of socialist culture in China and cultural workers should be the role models of morality and integrity. In order to achieve this goal，art colleges must strengthen student legal education. At present，problems in legal education exist in art colleges as school authorities don’t attach enough importance to legal education. Besides，the curriculum provision is not reasonable，and students aren’t interested in legal education. The educational institution should improve legal education in art colleges from the aspects of deepening administrator’s understanding，reforming curriculum provision and teaching mode to attract students.
