Social Work Mode in Rural Schools in the Third Circle of Chengdu
—A Case Study of Mobile Classroom “Illumination”

Abstract:

The author made a study of social work in 4 rural primary schools in Jintang County and Pengzhou City,which is carried out in the form of “Mobile Classroom”. The study reveals that social work intervention in rural schools responds mainly to student common needs,and is carried out by relays of social workers in the form of group counseling with community assist as an auxiliary means. This paper also discusses the association between rural economic and social conditions and school social work content,between rural education status quo and school social work function,and between social work resources in west China and school social work methods.
