Abstract: In modern times, China has been involved in controversies over "the ancient and the modern" and over "the Chinese and the Western", leaving traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in a marginalized unofficial position while the Western medicine in the official position. As an essential part of China's cultural heritage, TCM has been inherited and innovated by the Communist Party of China (CPC) through the "Second Combination." This approach advances public health and contributes to a global health community, strengthens cultural subjectivity and resolves debates about traditional culture, and promotes the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism and provides insight for national governance. In the process of Chinese revolution, construction and reform, CPC has critically inherited the legacy of TCM culture, promote the industrialization and modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, and promote the popularization of traditional Chinese medicine culture with people's life and health as the priority.
