Abstract: Domestic violence has become an important factor that affects family stability and social harmony，so domestic violence prevention becomes an extremely urgent issue. Taking a court in a certain district of Chongqing as an example，the authors investigate the domestic violence cases heard by this court in the past three years and the domestic violence prevention efforts made by this court. Based on the analysis of the investigation statistics，this paper sums up some effective measures of this court in preventing domestic violence and puts forward some suggestions aiming at the existing deficiency of the prevention measures. Preventing domestic violence is a systemic project，which needs not only legal assistance，but also the participation of different service departments. Therefore，this paper is a significant reference for exploring new measures of preventing and stopping domestic violence in new situation.
