Abstract: In heat competition in modern society，employees are under various stresses.Besides career stress，role stress is another one they face in life.The authors study the influence of psychological empowerment on role stress and find out that meaning，self efficacy and self determination can relieve employee role stress and are negatively related to role stress，while impact has no clear relationship with role stress.The findings reveal that psychological empowerment has close relationship with role stress and is an important factor influencing role stress.
