Abstract: This paper discusses the relationship between the distribution of biomar- kers and the sedimental environments including the input of materials, the depth of water, the sality and oxidation-reduction conditions in Upper Triassic of NW of Sichuan. Therefore, biomarkers can be used to reconstruct the palaeoenvironments of this area.
