Abstract: Objective: To analyze the effect of penis root incision in children′s buried penile correction. Methods: From July 2016 to
July 2018, 72 cases were studied, all of which were children undergoing buried penile surgeries. They were grouped according to the
random number table method. Those of odd numbers were divided into the observation group（n=36）, and those of even numbers were
divided into the control group（n=36）. The observation group was operated by penile root incision, the control group underwent deglove
and fixation, and the clinical effects of the two groups were compared. Results: The operative time and hospital stay in the observation
group were shorter than those in the control group, and the intraoperative blood loss was also less than that in the control group. The
difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Postoperative NRS pain scores at 12 and 24 h were lower in the observation group
than in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion: For children with buried penis, the
incision at the base of penis can achieve satisfactory results, with less postoperative pain and shorter hospital stay. It is an alternative
surgical method.
