Abstract: The spreading Confucianism in Yunnan Province is the process of assimilating the central-plain culture into the border culture. During this process, the Chinese national culture has evolved from "diversity" to "integration" and the strong sense of community for the Chinese nation has been gradually formed. Field investigations shows that there is a complete Confucius worship ceremony in Nuodeng Village of Yunlong County in Dali Prefecture. Such a ceremony is prevalent in Yunnan Province, and is a cultural performance in the dissemination of Confucianism. Literature studies indicate that Confucianism has exerted a great influence on Yunnan ethnic culture through three dissemination stages: preliminary, systematic and comprehensive. Through continuous and in depth cultural cultivation, Confucianism has integrated the regional culture, consolidated the social structures, and strengthened the concept of the state, thus promoting the construction of the cultural community, social community and political community, providing an important cultural resource for forging the strong sense of community for the Chinese nation among all ethnic groups in Yunnan today.
