Abstract: Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, President Xi Jinping's important exposition on labor
has elaborated on the important position and role of labor and enriched and developed the Marxist concept of labor. College students'
education on labor is an indispensable link for cultivating socialist builders and successors in all-round development. In the new era,
education on labor should guide college students to establish a scientific Marxist concept of labor and correct attitudes towards labor,
and carry forward the labor spirit and cultivate good working habits. At present, the university students' labor concept has problems
such as value orientation utilitarianism, incorrect attitudes towards labor, lack of labor habits, and lack of labor spirit. Colleges and
universities should improve the education of college students in the new era from the aspects of perfecting the curriculum system,
strengthening the practice of education, cultivating the campus culture, and cooperating with the family society to realize the all-round
development of college students.
