消逝波激励的WGM耦合非对称微腔单模激光辐射耦合效率的研究

采用消逝波激励的回音壁模式(whispering gallery mode,WGM)光纤激光器,将两根不同直径的光纤沿其轴向平行的绑
在一起构成一对耦合非对称柱形微腔结构,根据维纳效应,只有当两腔均在某一频率共振时,激光辐射才能出现,并且这对耦
合非对称微腔的自由光谱被扩大了许多,从而实现了单模激光辐射。通过改变耦合非对称微腔的尺寸,获取在不同条件下的
单模激光辐射,研究了耦合非对称微腔的耦合效率。实验发现,由中小直径光纤及具有较小直径差光纤组成的耦合非对称微
腔具有较高的耦合效率。

Abstract: Whispering gallery mode fiber laser driven by evanescent wave is used to tie two fibers with different diameters parallel
along their axes to form a pair of coupled asymmetric cylindrical microcavities. According to the Wiener effect, only when both cavities
are resonant at a certain frequency can laser radiation occur, and the free spectrum of the coupled asymmetric microcavities will be
expanded a lot and thereby the single mode laser radiation is realized. By changing the size of the coupled asymmetric microcavity, the
single-mode laser radiation under different conditions is obtained, and the coupling efficiency of the coupled asymmetric microcavity is
studied. The experimental results show that the coupling efficiency of the asymmetric microcavity composed of small and medium
diameter fibers and small diameter difference fibers is high.
