Abstract: General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage constitutes a vital
component of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. By interpreting his key ideas on strengthening cultural heritage protection and inheritance from the three dimensions of emotional foundation, historical responsibility, and practical approach, this paper reveals the emotional commitment of Chinese Communists, represented by Xi Jinping, to respecting and cherishing cultural heritage, their strong sense of responsibility in preserving cultural roots, and their exploration of Chinese approaches and solutions for safeguarding and transmitting cultural heritage. These perspectives collectively demonstrate the humanistic care, sense of mission, and practical wisdom of the Communist Party of China （CPC） in the realm of cultural heritage protection and inheritance. Furthermore, the analysis contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the implementation and effectiveness of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture in this field, as well as the role and significance of cultural heritage in ensuring the continuous transmission of Chinese civilization.
