陈独秀一贯主张抗日救国，他提出了很多抗战思想，其中民众抗战思想以1937年抗战全面爆发为界，有着明显的变化，对为何提倡民众抗战、如何进行民众抗战都有着自己的见解。他的民众抗战思想又与中国共产党、国民党有着紧密联系：与中共主张的异同、对国民党政府的反对与拥护。总之他的民众抗战思想是其个人思想的重要组成部分，需要客观科学地分析与评价。
CHEN Duxiu had always advocated an anti-Japan national salvation. He proposed many anti-Japan thoughts, among which the thoughts of public resistance marked a significant change after the outbreak of anti-Japan war in 1937. He explained why and how public resistance was important in anti-Japan war. CHEN's thoughts of public resistance were closely related with CCP and KMT. His thoughts of public resistance are important parts of his personal thoughts, which require objective and scientific analysis and evaluation.
