Abstract: It is generally recognized that indigenous culture is the everlasting source for literary practice. This paper is intended to discuss the inherence, development and modernized transformation of indigenous culture elements in Yunnan ethnic literature from three aspects including the clarification and analysis of the concept of "indigenous culture" in literary creation, modern ethnic identity expression in indigenous culture, and ecological awareness expression in indigenous culture.
