Abstract:

In the Ming Dynasty, military cultivation was an important measure to enhance military force, recover and develop the
production throughout the country. Dali was the center of Nanzhao and Dali regime, whose military cultivation had been strengthened
by the Ming government, which played an important role in Yunnan. Focusing on local records of the Ming Dynasty, this paper analyses
the construction of military organization and cultivation and the function of military organization. In the Ming Dynasty, military
cultivation in Dali guaranteed the local stability and made contribution for the development and stability of the border areas, which
ultimately turned out to be the civil affairs administration.
