Study on the "Zao(遭)" Sentences in Internet News Headlines

Abstract:

The "zao(遭)" sentence is frequently used in Internet news headlines. It not only keeps the characteristic of a verb
grammatically, but also is reanalyzed as the passive marker in specific sentences. In terms of semantics, the "zao(遭)" sentences have
the "dissatisfied" property with the speaker's strong subjectivity. With its unique pragmatic value in language system, the "zao(遭)"
sentences and "bei(被)" sentences bring into their own actions and complement each other functionally in the Internet news headlines.
