Abstract:

〔Abstract〕Objective: To study the effect of pinecone extract of Pinus Yunnanensis on immune function of normal mice. Methods:
Kunming mice were administered high, middle and low dose of pinecone extract（400,200,100 mg/kg）, 25 mg/kg Levamisole by gavage
and the mice were sacrificed after 10 days. The content of immunoglobulin IgA, IgM, IgG, complement C3 and C4 in mice serum was
measured; the amount of peripheral blood cell, spleen index, and thymus index were measured as well. Results: The pinecone extract
of Pinus Yunnanensis could increase immunoglobulin IgA, IgM, complements C4 and WBC in peripheral blood content. Compared with
normal group, the difference reflects statistical significance（P <0.05）. Conclusion: The pinecone extract of Pinus Yunnanensis can
enhance the immune function of normal mice .
