Abstract:  According to the literature, there are 17 water conservancy stone steles in Dali City, among which 5 pieces are from the
Ming Dynasty, 11 pieces are from the Qing Dynasty, and 1 piece is from the Republic of Chinese. These steles are valuable first-hand
historical materials for the study of water conservancy history, social history and cultural history in Dali area. Through collection,
collation, interpretation, and investigation, this essay elaborates the types, characteristics and values of these steles.
