Abstract: Firstly, a macroscopic analysis for cross-cultural adjustment of South Asian students in China is carried out. Secondly, the status quo is elaborated from four aspects: cross-cultural adjustment pressure, Chinese learning, professional class teaching and South Asian students management. Finally, three major problems in this research sphere were pointed out, i.e. the lack of a systematic research viewpoint, the lack of innovation on manners, and the lack of study in South Asian cultures. Three countermeasures to the problems were proposed: drawing on the "cross-cultural adaption" research point of view both from home and abroad, making use of anthropological fieldwork research techniques, and deepening the investigation in South Asian cultures starting with Hinduism.
