The Evolution of Kerouac's Religious Faith

Abstract: Religion has a far-reaching impact on Kerouac and his literary creation. Both Catholicism and Buddhism have been
interwoven in his life and works. In the middle and later years of his creations, Kerouac finally chose to abandon Buddhism, bid
farewell to Beat Zen and returned to the cross and the original Catholic faith, making a detoured return from Buddhism to Catholic faith.
