Abstract: Xiangyun County in Dali Prefecture of Yunnan Province has a long history and splendid culture. The water resources in territory are rich in inscriptions, and they have a large number of deposits and of very high value. However, the existing literature is incomplete, scattered and misleading. On the basis of literature review and through field surveys and inscriptions collation notes, this explores the existing problems and deficiencies in the literature, aiming at providing references for the future research on inscriptions.
