Abstract: Fifty- three Villages' Public Farmland and Water Conservancy Stele Preface" in the Yuhuangge(Pavilion of Jade Emperor)of Xiaoxizhuang Village of Xinjie Town in Midu County was established in the 10th year of the Republic of China. The inscriptions record the details of the public farmland and water conservancy of fifty-three villages in Midu area during the Republic of China. It is not only an important material for studying the construction and development of Midu's agriculture and water conservancy systems, but also a valuable historical material for researching the religious beliefs, folk customs and village changes in Midu, and has important historical, cultural and scientific research values.
