A Review of Studies on Ancient Chinese Official Case Novels since the 21st Century

Abstract

Abstract: In the 21st century, research literature on the official case novels has increased in number, innovations have been made in
contents and research methods, and there emerged multi-disciplinary studies mainly based on literature and supplemented by law,
linguistics, and folklore. This has brought fruitful results in the study of official case novels, and has made it an important field in the
study of Chinese ancient novels. However, while great achievements have been made, there are still some problems in the research
content, theory, and group, which need to be further improved.
