Abstract: Based on the questionnaire survey data of 220 MBBS students, the researchers quantify and evaluate the students' status
quo, learning demand and acquisition approaches on Chinese culture, and proposes strategies through discussion. The results show that:
(1)The Chinese culture acquisition level of MBBS students is above average. Their interest in Chinese culture and their level of
Chinese language are positively correlated with their culture acquisition level, however, the Chinese culture acquisition of each grade is
not always in a positive direction while their Chinese culture structure is lopsided.(2)They have a demand for Chinese culture, ranking
as material culture, social culture and philosophical culture.(3)The main approaches for them to acquire Chinese culture are classroom
instruction by TCFL teachers, textbook knowledge and communication with Chinese students, while the best ways to help them acquire
Chinese culture are language learning and communicating with Chinese students. Therefore, the researchers conclude that the social
environment for MBBS students to acquire Chinese culture is mainly in school with the coordinate point being their classroom.
