Comparative Study of the Main Function Differences of Physical Education Teachers in Urban and Rural Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Period

Abstract: In order to make physical education teachers in urban and rural primary and secondary schools play a core leading role in building a high-quality education system in the new period, we should rationally analyze the differences between urban and rural roles in their main functions,and accelerate the construction of high-quality physical education teachers in urban and rural primary and secondary schools. By using the methods of literature, network inquiry and logical analysis, etc, this paper makes a systematic analysis of the main function of physical education teachers in urban and rural primary and secondary schools in the new period. The connotation and types of the main functions of physical education teachers in urban and rural primary and secondary schools (2 categories, 7 sub-categories and 30 sub element functions in total), the types (6 types), characteristics (30 types), theoretical basis (6 types), differences in performance (39 types), and root causes of problems (3 categories and 32 types) of urban and rural role differences are proposed. There is a positive correlation between the main functions and the role differences, and the correction strategy is proposed from four aspects, to promote the main function of physical education teachers in urban and rural primary and secondary schools.
