Abstract: Before the 19th century, French academy art had the right to decide almost all artistic activities, and academy art became a model of all arts. However, with the progress of modern industrial civilization, the academy art has gradually lost its due right to speak, and the silence of the academy seems to be the choice of the times. In the turbulent waves of the French painting revolution in the 19th century, the academic painters still adhered to the rules of the "academy" and the tradition of the predecessors, and at the meantime, made changes in accordance with the times. With the origin and development of the French Academy of Fine Arts and the silence of the academy, people are re-evaluating and re-examining the 19th century French academy art through history.
