A Profound Reflection Based on Xi Jinping Thought on Culture

Abstract:

As a fine tradition of the Chinese nation, cultural edification in the new era undertakes the vital mission of renewing the
ancient Chinese civilization with a new destiny. To serve the era task of cultivating a new generation of the times and promoting the free
and comprehensive development of individuals through cultural edification, a broader educational perspective and more systematic
practical support are required. In this context, leveraging the synergistic interplay of "refining culture with culture", "shaping culture
through people", "nurturing people through people", and "cultivating people through aesthetics" represents a proactive and
commendable endeavor. Specifically, the integration of "refining culture with culture" and cultural edification helps optimize the
cultural ecology of cultural edification; the parallel advancement of "shaping culture through people" and cultural edification facilitates
guiding the "culture" in cultural edification toward a people-oriented direction; the synchronization of "nurturing people through
people" and cultural edification exerts the subjective initiative of "people" in cultural edification; and the integrated advancement of
"cultivating people through aesthetics" and cultural edification enables educatees to foster aesthetic literacy that aligns with advanced
culture. In turn, this further consolidates the practical foundation of cultural edification and promotes the in-depth study and
implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Culture.
