On the Text of the Narrative Ethics in Hawthorne's Short Stories

Abstract:

Hawthorne is one of the most important writers in the early history of American literature, noted for his short stories. In
terms of creative forms and artistic skills, Hawthorne pursues the well-knit structure and single-impression effect; the hallmark feature of his writings is sought from the use of Gothic style, romance and symbolism. Hawthorne conveys us his complicated ethical reflection and responsibility in his short stories.
