Present Situation and Countermeasures of Teacher Education at Colleges of National Regions of Western Yunnan

Abstract:

Teacher Education at colleges of national regions plays an important role in training teachers of the elementary education. At present, there are several problems existing in Teachers' Education: its specialty construction has gradually blurred; students' awareness of teachers' professional belief has decreased; it lacks enough hardware and teachers, as well as mechanism of integration between teachers' education and curriculum. Thus, the following measures can be adopted: the first is a correct understanding of status and role of Teachers' Education; the second is to strengthen students' awareness of teachers' professional belief; the third is to improve its professional hardware
facilities and teachers team construction; the fourth is adding the new curriculum reform of high school content to improve the practical teaching curriculum; the fifth is to establish mechanism of integration between Teachers' Education and curriculum reform.
