Abstract:

The political party is not always there, it is the product of a certain historic stage. At the same time, political party system is influenced by certain social culture with deep cultural imprint. The two-party system is the most typical western society's political party system, and the most typical representatives of the two-party system are Britain and America. So taking an analysis of British and American political party system from the perspective of history and culture is not only beneficial to understand the origin and development of American and British political party systems, but also contributes to the understanding that a country's political system is mainly determined by the political environment on the basis of the culture and history of the country. By taking a contrast and comparison between British and American political party systems and our political party system, we can make a conclusion that our current political party system is not only decided by the historic conditions of our country, but also by the cultural gene of Chinese
traditional culture, which has very important and far- reaching meanings for us to stick to our current political party system and cultivate our confidence on the theories and systems of our political party, and construct our political party system in the future.
