Abstract: As the socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era, historic changes have happened in major social concerns and ecological development in China. Analyzing the ecological opinions of Das Kapital, we find that the nature of capital logic is the root of ecological problems,which leads to a material circulation fault between human society and the natural world, and the contradiction between capital logic and ecological logic cannot be truly reconciled under the capitalist social system:the emerging of capitals generates the environmental issues within capitalist countries, the expansion of capitals leads to global colonialism and ecological problems, and capital hegemony ecological imperialism at the contemporary time. Seen from the angle of the socialism with Chinese characteristics at present,Das Kapital's ecological significance in this new era can be summarized as follows. Firstly, the state government should strengthen regulations on ecological environment and improve the protective system to ensure a beautiful environment. Secondly, it is essential to pursue a pollution-free development, in which man and nature coexist in harmony. Finally, environmental justice must be established for a beautiful environment.
