Abstract: The third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee explicitly emphasized the need to develop the institutional mechanisms of new productive forces in accordance with local conditions. The widespread application of new productive forces in agriculture and rural areas has the practical function of helping to modernize agriculture and rural areas. The interaction between the new productive forces and the modernization of agriculture and rural areas is aimed at solving the problem of imbalanced and insufficient development, and achieving common prosperity. New quality productivity is an advanced quality of productivity in line with the new development concept, which promotes the modernization of agriculture and rural areas by facilitating innovation of agricultural digital technology, contributing to the coordinated development of urban and rural areas, empowering the green development of agriculture, realizing the opening of agricultural markets at a high level, and by advancing the sharing of the fruits of agricultural development by farmers. In order to accelerate the cultivation of new productivity and promote the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, we should base ourselves on the five new development concepts, and enhance the innovation and application of agricultural digital technology, accelerate the coordinated development of urban and rural infrastructures, vigorously develop green agriculture, expand the scale and degree of opening up of agricultural markets, and deepen the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in the rural areas.
