An Analysis on Legal Problems Concerning China’s Energy Security

Abstract

Abstract:

Energy security is an important part of the national security system，and directly affects the prospects of political，
economic and social stability and sustainable development of a country. To build a complete legal system concerning energy
security is an essential and important means to safeguard national security. Many developed countries have made effective
explorations on how to achieve the important goals of national energy security through legislative tools，and have accumulated
a series of legislative experiences. At present，there exist many problems about energy security in respects of establishment
of law concept and legal system construction. Appropriate measures must be taken to solve the problems. We hold that it is
undoubtedly of pragmatic meaning and in the long-term national interests to put emphasis on bilateral and multilateral international
cooperation in energy security，to adopt a more active and more pragmatic diplomacy strategy for energy security and
to build an energy security legal system with Chinese characteristics on the basis of the advanced legislation experiences from
developed countries.
