China Merchants’Steamship Navigation Company is one of the earliest national enterprises in modern times, with a history of 150 years. Its development from the initial ship transport enterprise to today’s well-known large enterprise group with diversified operations in ship transport, finance and real estate lies mainly in its consistent efforts in brand building. The brand composition of China Merchants’Steamship Navigation Company includes three major elements: the core element is the shaping of a patriotic national enterprise competing for profits with foreign capitals, and the patriot label contributes to defeating the opponents in the treacherous competition; the basic element is the system of government supervised business operation, which enables the enterprise to make full use of government resources in providing quality services for the government and for businesses and the people; the supporting element is economies of scale, which is highlighted by improving the core competitiveness through strengthening and expanding the main business. The continuous improvement of brand thinking and brand elements of China Merchants’Steamship Navigation Company in its brilliant history provides valuable experience to be inherited and carried forward.

China has become the world’s largest producer and user of renewable energy, and promoting international cooperation in green energy is an inherent requirement for China’s practice of fulfilling the concept of green development and promoting the construction of an ecological civilization and in building a community with a shared future for mankind. International cooperation in global green energy is booming with more than 130 countries setting their goals of carbon neutrality. In international green energy cooperation, the rule of law is an important way to regulate cooperation procedures, resolve cooperation disputes and protect cooperation results. However, in the practice of international cooperation, there exist problems such as the lack of domestic legal basis to promote international cooperation, the difficulty in balancing the flexibility and standardization of international cooperation, the unclear policies of the third party leading to conflicts of interest and the absence of the relief system leading to disputes that are difficult to resolve. It is suggested to consolidate the domestic legal basis for international cooperation in green energy, to build a "soft and hard" international cooperation law system, to improve the third-party policy identification mechanism based on multilateral platforms, and to continue to promote the construction of international environmental dispute settlement platform.

China’s industrial zones and other types of zones are areas with the most concentrated carbon emissions. It is an important measure for Sichuan Province to promote the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals by means of developing green low-carbon industrial zones and constructing near-zero carbon emission zones. We analyze the current situation of carbon emissions in Sichuan Province and find out that carbon emissions showed an obvious upward trend in Sichuan; industry is the major contributor of carbon emission with coal consumption taking the lead; the proportion of clean energy consumption is increasing by year. We put forward suggestions for the construction of near-zero carbon emission zones in Sichuan Province to fuel the future economic growth. Through efforts in differentiated near-zero carbon emission zone construction, low-carbon industrial transition, carbon emission reduction technology development and application, digitalization in carbon emission management, and ecological carbon sink layout design, economic structure in Sichuan Province will be upgraded.

Network position transition is an important way in which new marginal enterprises develop and grow. Taking SenseTime as the research subject, this paper uses the longitudinal single case study method to construct an analytical framework based on the theoretical logic of "situation-process-result" from the perspective of resource action, and explores the internal mechanism of network position transition of marginal enterprises. The research finds that the network position transition is the result of the matching and co-evolution of resource scenario and enterprise strategy, and the key to the network position transition of marginal enterprises lies in correct understanding of their own resource scenario, in selecting, formulating and implementing adaptive development strategies, and in realizing the effective adaptation of resource scenario, strategic orientation, resource-foucsed action and network capabilities. With the interactive adaptation, optimization and upgrading of resource-focused actions and network capabilities in different resource scenarios, the key components of network position evolve in a dynamic way, promoting the network position of marginal enterprises to evolve in the pattern of "edge network position—local central network position—and global central network position".

Using the survey data of China’s rural e-commerce development in 2018, this paper analyzes the impact of e-commerce on rural households’per capita income and income distribution, aiming to provide new evidence for the influence of e-commerce on income and its distribution. Due to the selective bias caused by self-selection of samples, this paper uses the propensity score matching method to analyze the impact of e-commerce on the per capita income of rural households. The results show that the per capita income of rural residents participating in e-commerce is 83.6% higher than that of rural residents not participating in e-commerce. This paper further uses quantile regression and unconditional quantile regression to analyze the income distribution effect of e-commerce on rural residents. The results show that the income increasing effect of e-commerce on low-income families is far greater than that of medium and high-income families, which is conducive to improving the income distribution of rural residents. Based on the research conclusions, this paper suggests that the government actively promotes e-commerce in rural areas, providing certain policy support for rural residents’e-commerce entrepreneurship, and greatly improving the dividend of rural e-commerce so that rural residents’income continues to increase and income distribution improved.

Social changes and productivity development keeps changing social relations and drives the realization of human freedom. With the advance of the revolution of modern information technology, the new artificial intelligence technology with big data and algorithm as the core has been rapidly developed and deeply applied. Intelligence has brought a real paradigm change to the society and provided the possibility for realizing the free and comprehensive human development. Human society is stepping into a new technological social form—intelligent society. However, the intelligent society is faced with many challenges, such as the gradual replacement of human labor responsibilities by artificial intelligence, the algorithm risk caused by the alienation of intelligent society technology, and the hidden domination of intelligent science and technology over the subject, which causes difficulties to the realization of human freedom in intelligent society. We must examine the risks and challenges of an intelligent society and, under a co-built and shared mechanism, to ensure equal rights to work for all, to standardize the algorithm rules and to establish a reasonable algorithm accountability system, so as to restoring man’s subjective status and to realize man’s free and comprehensive development.

Examining and grasping the current situation and tasks facing China's development from a strategic perspective is an important thinking and working method of the Party Central Committee in governing the country. Xi Jinping summarized the current situation and tasks facing China's development as "new strategic opportunities, new strategic tasks, new strategic periods, new strategic requirements and new strategic situation", which is a furthering of the Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The "Five Strategic Advantages" highlights the new strategic opportunities for China’s development; "building a modern socialist country in all respects" is the new strategic task; the intersection and overlap of the "two critical periods" is a significant feature of the new strategic stage; the unwavering pursuit of the "five necessary paths" is a regular requirement for achieving new strategic tasks, and the new strategic environment is characterized by the synchronous interweaving and mutual agitation of the "two overall situations". Correct understanding of Xi Jinping’s judgementon the strategic situation of national development will boost the initiative and consciousness in building a modern socialist country in all respects.

During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the CPC made active efforts to shape its international image although Kuo mintang’s blockade policy made it almost "unseen" in the international community. However, due to the lack of experience, the Communist Party of China had to shape its image through its own channels, which inevitably resulted in difficulties to be accepted by the international community and hence producing the "image bias". During the Yan'an period, the CPC maximized the spread of the voice of the CPC to the international community via the Gung Ho Movement (Chinese industrial cooperatives), and built a good party image in the international community. This paper examines the background and situations in which Gung Ho Movement founded by the international friends during Yan'an period, and the motives and methods with which the Gung Ho Movement constructed the CPC international image, aiming to explore the theoretical difficulties currently encountered in CPC image shaping, so as to provide a strategy suggestion for international image shaping of CPC in the new era.

Peers influence among college students in daily life and social practice, and inspiration of role models not only expand the life perspective of ideological and political education, but also have a special value for enhancing the effectiveness of ideological and political education. From the perspective of value logic, peer influence is necessary in deepening the "people-oriented" ideological and political education, in the practice of linking ideological and political education with daily life and in establishing the pattern of "all-round education". From a theoretical point of view, there are profound doctrinal support and practical basis for the practice of exerting peer influence: the theory of "human nature" is the fundamental basis, the theory of "implicit learning" is the main doctrinal support, and the effect of "group reference" is its doctrinal reference and the practice of "implicit ideological and political education" has solidified the practical foundation for it. In practice, it is possible for peer influence to take effect. By building a platform and providing effective incentives, we can pave the way for the practice of peer influence and open up a long-term mechanism, thus helping the effective play of peer influence and the ultimate realization of the goal of educating college students.

Informed individual’s consent rules contain informed rules and consent rules, but with different weighting. The former focuses on information provision and acquisition, while the latter focuses on expression and choice of intention. This logic affects the "strong and weak" expression of informed consent rule in Personal Information Protection Law. According to the difference of emphasis, the informed individual’s consent rules in personal information protection take three modes applicable to specific scenarios: "strong notification + strong consent", "strong notification + weak consent", and "weak notification + weak consent". In the scenario of labor relations, the mode of "strong notification + weak consent" conforms to the theoretical and practical needs. In order to ensure the application effect, it is necessary to conduct substantive review of labor rules, regulations and contracts involving personal information processing of employees in accordance with the principle of "consistent interests" to reduce the damaging consequences of "weak consent". Meanwhile, in order to ensure the implementation of the "strong notification" rule, it is necessary for employers to fulfill the obligation of information processing and to construct the realization mechanism of the right of request for the right to know. Such efforts, working together with information processing communication, and understanding and consensus mechanism construction, can strike the balance between the protection and use of employee’s personal information.

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the modes and types of cybercrime have become diversified, and it is worth exploring whether traditional legal rules can appropriately respond to the expansion of cybercrime. The ex post facto criminal law system is the traditional mode of cybercrime governance, which fails to produce effective regulation due to the nature of concealment and extreme flexibility of cybercrimes, and results in difficulties in criminal forensics and a clear tendency towards abuse of application of offences. The traditional attribution mode of cybercrime should be shifted from causal attribution to the attribution of the duty of care to improve the judicial loopholes in the offence to achieve the pre-criminalisation of cybercrime, and on this basis, the situational crime prevention measures of cybercrime should be actively explored, so as to form a new mode of pre-criminal situational crime prevention and pre-criminalisation of criminal law, to achieve the effective control of cybercrime in the whole process, and to promote the healthy development of cybersociety in accordance with the rule of law.

Zhu Zi explained the meaning of the word "qin" in Shang Shu as "jing(reverential)" to establish his Neo-Confucianist view on the "Ways of Yao and Shun". From the perspective of the cultivation of "qin", Zhu Zi commented that "qin" enables a thorough understanding of things and that Buddhists and Taoists focuse too much on the mental state instead of the problems in reality. In terms of the ti-yong relationship, Zhu Zi held that "qin" provides the basis on which "ming(intelligence)" depends, and opposed the Buddhist and Taoist explanations of "qin" as "jing(tranquility)" which isolated ti and yong(the ontological existence and the expression and application). From the perspective of the virtues of the sage, Zhu Zi noted that "qin" comes first and is the most important, while what the Buddhist and Taoist claims to be the fundamental are actually false understanding. Zhu Zi’s interpretation of "qin" aims to criticize the Buddhist and Taoist thoughts and clarify the "ways of Yao and Shun" from the Neo-Confucianist perspective.

Through research on the space for the survival of domestic multidisciplinary science and technology academic journals, and review of the development of multidisciplinary comprehensive science and technology academic journals, this paper analyzes a series of challenges they are faced with in the context of discipline segmentation, such as weak policy support, tightened evaluation system, and the failure of listing on catalogs in professional societies. Based on the analysis, development strategies for breaking through the bottleneck are presented: journals should first do their own jobs well, including promoting the advantages of their brand reputation, soliciting targeted research paper submissions, and giving weight to disciplinary overview articles. They also need policy support, and locate an anchor point from national policies for the survival and development of journals.
