Abstract: Based on an analysis of the positive role of AMLC in preventing academic dishonesty，the author points out that there are some limitations of this system reflected in practice：its limited data base，its inadequacy in language identification and its inability to multisourced plagiary.In a sense，the avalanche of online shops offering inspecting services for academic dishonesty shows that abuse of this system is making it an accessory to academic dishonesty.Therefore the author suggests more strict authorization of this system to ensure its positive effect in preventing academic dishonesty.And advancement of academic accomplishments and expansion of academic vision are more effective ways for editors to better carry out their duties.
