Abstract

Abstract: On the basis of briefly describing the method for measuring acoustic velocities of rocks and rock hardness in the laboratory, this paper introduces the correlation between acoustic velocity and rock hardness as well as the correlation between the acoustic velocity on the surface and that from downhole logging by using regression analyis.Based on the comprehensive analysis and study,the paper describes the mathematical models established for field use to predict formation rock hardness by means of acoustic ...
