APPLICATION OF CHLORINE DIOXIDE ON WATERFLOOD RECOVERY

Abstract

Abstract: Data from production and experiments show that aqueous solution of chlorine dioxide can completely remove the plugging of ferrous sulfide, biomass residues and polymers present in production and waterflood well. Investigation on mechanism has indicated that the chlorine dioxide can oxidate these plugging into soluble and hydrophilic substance. A method of manufacturing cheap, available and suitable chlorine dioxide is suggested.
