Abstract:
Suspended particle removal is one of the main measures of water quality control in oilfield water treatments, predicting the damage extent due to suspended solid plays a very important role in determining suitable water quality specifications. In this paper, the mutual interactions and effects of particle content, size, core permeability and cumulative injected pore volumes on core flowing efficiency were effectively assessed in the first time by involving orthogonal experiment design method. The relationship of porethroat and nondamaging particle size and lots of useful conclusions were acquired with the help of nonlinear regression analysis techniques. It exhibits paramount guidable significance in establishing reasonable water quality standard and constituting formation protecting measures in oilfield.
Key words: suspension transport, injection water quality, formation protection, orthogonal test, formation damage
