Abstract:
The underground oil and gas pipelines, especially the pipelines under the water, need steady or periodicunsteady position inspection. The traditional method is carried out with GPS and detected apparatus, which results in huge workload and high costs, what is more, it could not reach an expected precision. An orientation project based on inertial device was introduced in the paper. The information of position was stored in the collection system to avoid disturbing by the outside environment; therefore, it increases the system's reliability and definitely decreases the workload and costs.
