Abstract: This paper studies the influence of intercalation on the effect of thick reservoir exploitation. An intercalation is a non-permeable or low permeable layer with its lithology dense; the porosity less than 12 % ; the permeability less than 0.020μm2, and it divides thick reservoirs into a number of independent flow units. This paper, in view of the thick reservoir charecteristics of Shuanghe Oil Field, studies the way of improving flooding conditions and raising the effect of thick reservoir exploitation by means of intercalation.
