Abstract: In this paper，we have discussed the dra wback which exists in the squ-
are zone terrain correction scheme, and presented the circular zone terrain
correction scheme based on the altitude data of the rectangular net.After
comparing the differene between real values with the ,calculated values of
the square zone terrain correction(by means of the compressed mass line
and the 2-D numerical integration)，and of the circular zone terrain cor-
iection, we think that the scheme presented here is feasible.
