Abstract: It is a new and effective technology to enhance oil recovery by using insitu CO2 to reduce oil viscosity. The authors research the method to determine the oil viscosity reduction by using insitu CO2, and bring forward the method of resistance coefficient. The evaluation is done to the single liquid system and dual liquids system of insitu CO2 ability of reducing oil viscosity in the sand pack. The results indicate that the single liquid system can reduce the oil viscosity by 42.15%, and the dualliquid system can reduce the oil viscosity by 52.69% when the oil viscosity is 12904.1mPa•s, the temperature 70℃, the pressure 6MPa. It shows the method of resistance coefficient to determine the degree of viscosity reduction is feasible and effective.
