Abstract: T his paper describes a new method for simMating gas-condensate
reservoirs numerically.The sim ulator accounts not only for retrograde
condensation and vaporization of condensed liquid，and for arbitrary
field shapes, well patterns and heterogeneities as w ell.Because
formulation of the simulator is based on a formation volume factor， 0r
the Beta-type analysis which has analogy to that used in a conventional
black-oil simulation model，it is of comparable computational simplici-
ty and efficiency. Finally, some examples of the application of the
method to an actual gascondensate field are given in this paper.
