Abstract: It is believed through the study of conodont samples obtained that the dependence of Permian conodonts on sediments facies is strikingly apparent in the Nanpanjiang River basin. In general, both the sediment facies and the different distributiun of conodont fauna control its occurrence frequency. The interpretation of the paleoecology of Permian conodonts in this area indicates that the conodoat animals had a benthic mode of life, at least during the reater part of their life cycle.
