THE STRESS FIELDS AROUND THE CRACK TIP IN THE CYL INDR ICAL SHELL W ITH BLUNT CRACK

Abstract: In an elliptical coordinate system,we directly solved the cylindrical shell differential equations and obtained the equation for the elastic stress fields with σBlunt additional term around the tip of circumferential blunt crack in the cylindrical shell subjected to tension by using Mathieu function of the multiplied kind of Bessel function,following Neuber's reduction principle and utilizing the differential equation method.
